it only costs 500g to change your 2ndary profession but you cant do that till a roughly just over half way through the game were you should have a decent stack on money! (pends on game, you can change your 2ndary profession at about 1/4 through NightFall and Factions bout 1/2 way through Prophecies...but you should have enough money to change your 2ndary quite easily...without busting yourself!
the /ele bar that is good takes time to aquire the skills...depending on which bar you run /monk is probably the better option for a newbie as you can put together a good bar at an early stage of the game... |

You will probaly end up wanting to chnage your secondry proff anyway to different builds for different situations. You will rarely keep the same 2ndry throughout the whole campaign...
Furthermore...once you';ve chnaged proff. you can swiutch back and forth free |

I think that the issue of 'best' ranger secondary is moot. Because ranger is the jack of all trades a pure ranger build is completely feasible. By the time when you get far enough in the game that you can change your secondary the cost of doing so is negligible (Factions and NF one-time fee of 500g and in Prophecies free!) and you should have a better idea about your preferred playstyle and you can then try all the different secondaries to find the one that complements your build. I can't think of a single secondary that wouldn't make any sense for a ranger with a suitable build.

the bars can be put together easily...with very little travel required through the game to get the decent skills! the reason r/mo is so common is because it does work so well! /e does require a certain amount of skills, some of which to aquire you need to do some traveling through the game so if you want to put a good bar together quickly go r/mo R/MO is the way forwards...technically rangers don't need a 2ndary profession! they can run great bars without 2ndary skills! as you have to have a 2ndary you may as well have monk as it...just for the reusably "rez" |

r/mo is probably the better option if you do not want to play on your own, as if your group gets wiped except you, the reusable "rez" can get your whole team back up...if you had a one time rez and everyone in your party has used theirs!
then you are practically req. to do the rest of the mission with only two people..either that or /resign and start again from scratch! |

bar = skill bar (the skills you use)
attributes are assigned dependent on which skills you have i.e. barrage is a marksmanship skill so you would put points into marksmanship to make it a more effective skill. check out www.guildwiki.org helps with everything you will need to know...including guides for newbies for each game and how to get started! |

Zen, go with R/Mo for now, you're new at this, learn the basic of the game first. You cant be the best right away, it wont matter anyway what your build or class you pick, untill you're lv 20.
Just start playing the game for now. |
